Nando’s has submitted planning proposals to bring its Portuguese-style piri-piri chicken to Coleraine’s Riverside Retail Park.

The South African chain has submitted planning applications to Causeway Coast & Glens Council for permission to install an internally illuminated built-up letter fascia sign & 1 no. internally illuminated menu box to the front elevation and external alterations including installation of 3 new doors, new transom & glazed panels with gradient feature timber cladding to the front & side elevations alongside the installation of fixed planters to the front elevation.

Maurice Bradley MLA, has welcomed the proposed development, similar to what exists in Junction One, Ballymena and also in Londonderry.

“It has proved popular in both locations and I would expect a similar result here.

I would wish them success in their application which will add another service to the Riverside offer and one that will complement the shopping service at that location.”

Nando’s have scores of restaurants all over the country.

We have contacted Nando’s Chickenland Ltd for further comment.
