A Portrush restaurant has closed its business temporarily to undergo a deep clean following an alert from the Public Health Agency’s Test and Trace scheme.
In a social media statement a spokesperson for Ocho Tapas said ;
“It is with great sadness that we have taken the decision to close Ocho for a short period following an alert from the Public Health Agency’s Test and Trace scheme.
“While the Health and Safety Executive and the Public Heath Agency have informed us we can operate as normal, as a small family business the restaurant is our life, and we feel we have made the right decision to allow us to take every action we can to keep our wonderful team of staff and our fantastic customers safe.
“This includes deep cleaning the whole restaurant and further testing in line with public heath guidelines.
“It is heartbreaking for us to close our doors, even temporarily, so soon after reopening, and we understand that you may have concerns or questions. We are here to answer them, so don’t hesitate to contact us on 02870 824110.
“We hope to see you all back very soon.
