A family has thanked the local community who has rallied to help them after a devastating fire destroyed their home and all their belongings.

The fire broke out at the Ballycastle Road home in Coleraine in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 22nd January 2017. Read more about the incident by clicking here.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community this afternoon Martyna and Marcin Obuchowicz said “We are really thankful for all help we have received from the local community.  We have received numerous bags of clothes and now need to check all sizes etc. All clothes that will not be used will be donated to Community Rescue Service Shop in Coleraine.

We don’t have a house at the minute to keep all the stuff we have been offered so we will be in touch with the people ASAP.

Thank you so much for all the help we have got from the local people.  You really have good hearts, Really appreciate it .”

A friend of the family has setup a Go Fund Me donation page in which you can click here to access.

The Causeway Coast Vineyard has also been in touch with the family.
