Finlay raises concerns about Road Safety in Bendooragh

1 Mins read

DUP Alderman, John Finlay, has contacted the PSN and Transport .NII to request the urgent introduction of speed detection and traffic calming measures in Bendooragh.

Alderman Finlay said :

“I have been approached by a number of residents in the Bendooragh who are very concerned about the speed of traffic in the village. There has been at least one accident, and I also understand that there have been a number of near misses where other road users have narrowly escaped being injured or killed.

In light of this, I have contacted the PSNI and Transport .NI to ask for their intervention.
It is imperative that speed detection measures are introduced as soon as possible in an effort to catch the culprits before someone is injured or killed. As I have said on many occasions, no expense must be spared when human life is at stake. I will continue to liaise with residents and police on this matter.”
