Firefighters rescue bullock from slurry pit

Firefighters from Kilrea, Ballymena and Maghera were called to an unusual rescue after a bullock fell into a slurry pit.

Crews were called to a farm on the Moneygran Road, Kilrea shortly before 2pm this afternoon.

Firefighters used lines, slings and a gas monitor while removing the bullock from the tank. The incident was dealt with by 3.41pm.

A Specialist Rescue Team also attended the incident.
