Firefighters Called To Attend An Animal Rescue Incident Involving A Horse In A River

Firefighters were called to attend an animal rescue incident involving a horse in a river at Lisnasoo Rd, Cloughmills last night.

A NIFRS spokesperson said “Firefighters and the Specialist Rescue Team, with the assistance of a farmer, used a specialist animal rescue sling and animal rescue techniques, along with a mechanical digger to rescue the horse”.

2 appliances from Ballymena Fire station, 1 from Ballymoney Fire Station and 2 from Central Fire Station, Belfast

The incident was dealt with at 9.05pm.
