Former Dunlop Mechanic Airlifted Following RTC

A Former mechanic for the late Joey Dunlop, Sam Graham was involved in a near-fatal crash on the Whitepark Road on Saturday. The incident happened around the same time as the news emerged of the passing of William Dunlop.

Sam who is aged in his 50’s is fighting for his life in the Royal Victoria Hospital after the motorbike he was riding was involved in a collision with a 4 X 4.

A spokeswoman for the Belfast Trust last night described his condition as “critical”.

A PSNI spokesperson said “Police received the report of a 3 vehicle RTC in the Ballintoy area on Saturday, 07 July.

One man was taken to hospital via air ambulance as a result of this. Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 1132 07/07/2018.”
