
Andrew Wright, a former Ulster Unionist Assembly Candidate for North Antrim has reportedly quit the party for the DUP over the UUP stance on abortion.
Wright stood in this year’s Assembly Elections for the UUP in North Antrim with hopes of securing the party a second seat in the constituency.
The Ulster Unionist Party supports termination in cases of Fatal Fetal abnormality but allows members a free vote on the matter.
Andrew Wright is now the third person to leave the UUP for the DUP in the past week, following Limavady Councillor Aaron Callan and Belfast City Councillor Graham Craig
