Back in January 2016 Frame Football launched and a dream came true for all boys/girls who suffer from physical disabilities. An opportunity to play a very popular sport, that suited their own individual needs was made available and it has been an amazing journey for all involved. The club initially set up in Belfast on a Saturday. September 2016 another venue started in Coleraine on a Sunday. January 2017 sees the club in Belfast move to Lisburn.

Each child has been given a chance to play football, something which has been impossible in the past. Whilst playing this popular sport they are also improving social skills, learning football skills, building confidence, working as part of a team and most importantly having fun. Some of these kids who started never had the confidence to kick a ball, high five a team mate, last five minutes in the session never mind play a match. It has taken lots of gentle persuasion, time, effort and patience to build them all up to where they are now.

SESSIONS :

Lisburn Lagan Valley Leisureplex Every Saturday 2-3pm
Coleraine Uni Every Sunday 1-2pm

A spokesperson said “Open to any child with a physical disability using a kaye frame. Even if just able to manage short periods. We’ve range of disabilities including Cerebral palsy, Spina bifida and muscular dystrophy to name just a few.”

We would love to see new faces at both sessions. For further info pm coach Tim via twsportsgroup Facebook page.”
