The National Trust has issued a warning to locals and tourists following reports that fraudsters were trying to make visitors pay for the White Park Bay car park.
In a statement, the National Trust said ‘These people asking for money do not represent the National Trust.’
A spokesperson went onto say ‘We would like to remind visitors that there is no charge for parking your car at White Park Bay, and access to this National Trust site is free of charge. We have been made aware that some recent visitors were approached and asked to pay to park their car at White Park Bay.
The individuals requesting payment do not represent the National Trust, and please do not hand over any payment to park or access White Park Bay.
Enjoy the Easter break!’
