Free Bus Service Withdrawal At Coleraine Tesco

1 Mins read
BT Coleraine

A free bus service that picked up people in the local community to shop at Coleraine Tesco will cease to operate later this month.

Speaking to us this morning a spokesperson from Tesco said “We have taken the difficult decision to stop running this bus route from the Coleraine store.  The service will run until the 25th November 2016.

Our decision follows a review of the service that has considered the number of customers using it and its future sustainability. We have found that customer use is not at the level required to allow us to continue to run the service.

We recognise that it is used by some people in the local community to reach our store.  We also know that some passengers will be disappointed by the decision to stop running the service.

To help customers who use this service we have identified alternative routes ran by Translink services.   Details of these services can be found on the notice boards instore or by calling customer services.   Please also contact our customer services desk for more information about bus services run by not-for-profit organisations to local amenities available in your town.

We’re very grateful to all customers who shop with us and are very sorry for any inconvenience the end of this service may bring.”
