Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has welcomed the decision to open the council building car park in Limavady for the Saturdays of the Christmas period again this year.

Cllr. Chivers said “The council building car park will be free to park in on Saturdays from the 18th November to 6th January from 8am to 6pm.”

“This will be welcome news to local businesses and shoppers alike and provide a much needed boom for the local economy in the town.”

“Sinn Féin have lobbied for this every year and we hope it can continue for a long time yet to spread the festive cheer.”

She added “I would like to stress it is only the Council building car park which is free, normal charges apply elsewhere so please bear this in mind.
