East Londonderry DUP Assembly member George Robinson MBE has welcomed the planning approval given to the new hotel and leisure complex to be located at Ballyreagh Road Portstewart.
“Such a development will be a very welcome and necessary addition to our area’s tourist infrastructure. With the north West 200 every year and the major golf tournaments that have taken place – and are planned – for the north coast a development of hotel beds is to be welcomed.
It is my sincere hope that the developers can now start the process of building but there were objections which I hope will not further hold the process back. This area is Northern Irelands major tourist area and we need to ensure we have as many beds possible for tourist to ensure they stay in the area and contribute further to our economy” concluded Mr Robinson.
