The Old Courthouse in Coleraine has been sold by owners JD Wetherspoon to The Granny Annie’s group as part of an estimated £3m deal.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, the establishments being sold are The Old Courthouse in Coleraine, The Spinning Mill in Ballymena, The Linen Hall in Enniskillen and two pubs in Derry/Londonderry.
Current owners JD Wetherspoon have said there will be no job losses as a result of the sale.
Does this mean an end to the sight of 3 generations of a family in the Old Courthouse. The children running wild overdosed on fizzy orange, the unmarried parents and the mother’s untoothed granny pissed in the corner. I don’t think Granny Annie’s is into the unwaged market in the way JDW is. Always the Forge I suppose. At least it has a creche which opens at 7 in the morning.
