Bakery chain Greggs looks like it’s finally coming to Coleraine as the chain has advertised for a shop manager in the location of Church Street, Coleraine.  This will be the first store in the Causeway Coast & Glens area.

In late 2015 The Belfast Telegraph first reported the firm’s intention to open up to 50 stores in Northern Ireland.

Greggs PLC is the largest bakery chain in the United Kingdom. It specialises in savoury products such as pasties, sausage rolls and sandwiches and sweet items including doughnuts and vanilla slices.

A Greggs spokesperson said the following late this afternoon :

“We can confirm we are interested in bringing Greggs to Coleraine and will clarify further details as soon as possible.”

Ulster Unionist Councillor William McCandless said “This is great news that Greggs are considering opening soon in Coleraine with the much needed new jobs that it will bring to the area.”

Causeway Coast Community understands that the premises could possibly be situated at the old Blue Inc store on Church Street, Coleraine due to a recent sale agreed sign.
