The Isle Of Man TT races have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The announcement was made this afternoon by the island’s Council of Ministers in order to protect its population. The government also advised against non-essential travel to the island.

Concerns have now been raised as to whether or not the North West 200 will go ahead. The North Coast event is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Northern Ireland. It is understood the organisers will issue a statement soon.

Organisers were due to meet with health officials earlier today, however that meeting was cancelled.
