James eyes Euro hat-trick

1 Mins read

James McLaughlin has been in sensational form during Coleraine’s European run.

The striker has scored stunners in the victories over La Fiorita and Maribor.

Now he has Motherwell in his sights as he aims to grab a third Europa League goal against the Scottish Premier League side on Thursday.

“Yeah confidence is high but any striker will say that’s the case when you score goals,” stated the modest McLaughlin.

The belief is there that he and his teammates can produce another shock but he is also realistic about what could happen.

“We have to be confident, especially after the Maribor game,” added James.

“But it will take probably an even bigger effort for us to pull off a result.

“Motherwell are a full-time outfit and we are under no illusions as to the size of task we face.”
