A JUDGE says he takes a “dim view” of drivers ‘donuting’ on beaches.
District Judge Peter King was speaking at Limavady Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, in connection with a teenager who is charged with dangerous driving at Benone Beach.
Michael Og Mullin (18), of Lisbofin Road in Blackwatertown near Dungannon, is accused in relation to August 9 last year.
A defence barrister told the court dangerous driving is not accepted “but careless would be accepted”.
Judge King said previous judges in the area “took a very dim view of donuting in public car parks in and around the Dungiven area.
“I would take a similar dim view of donuting in car parks and on beaches”.
The case was adjourned to March for Judge King to “hear submissions” from the defence barrister.
