1 Mins read

A prosecutor has asked for a case to be further adjourned for four weeks so forensic examination of a knife can be completed.

She was speaking at Coleraine Magistrates Court on May 20 regarding a 17-year-old boy – who cannot be named because of his age – who is charged with attempting to murder two women and also faces two charges of possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – with intent to commit attempted murder.

Two women were injured in an incident at Beresford Avenue in Coleraine on Sunday January 13 this year.

The boy appeared before the court via video link from the Woodlands Juvenile Justice Centre in Bangor.

He was further remanded and the case adjourned to mid-June.
