KRD Credit Union donates funds for two external defibrillators

When it comes to saving the lives of those that maybe suffering a cardiac arrest, time and first response is vital. With this in mind, KRD Credit Union Ltd has donated funds to purchase two external defibrillators for both Dunloy Development Association and Cloughmills Community Group.

The defibrillators will be used by the first response team operating locally as they try to provide fast assistance in case of emergencies.

In the current climate with global pandemic threatening the lives of many, responders – trained by and working alongside the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) – play an essential role in the local community.

General Manager of KRD, Claire Doherty thanked both groups for their tireless efforts in first response for both Dunloy, Cloughmills and surrounding areas saying: “I would like to wish both organisations well in the challenges they may face and hope the defibrillators have a positive impact for all concerned”.
