Kutski ( John Walker), a British radio DJ and who has presented various shows for BBC Radio 1 has paid tribute to the late Aaron Henderson who died in hospital whilst on holiday in Majorca.
In a social media post last night he said “It’s with a heavy heart I have to post this picture of a loyal fan of KTRA but more importantly a personal friend of mine Aaron ‘Hendy’ Henderson, who has passed away.
I could write essays on the funny drunken stories of Hendy at the end of nights in Northern Ireland, he was genuinely one of the most fun and entertaining people you could wish to be around. My deepest thoughts go out to his partner Danielle, his family, and everyone else who was lucky enough to have known Aaron. RIP Hendy, Northern Ireland gigs will never be the same x”
Causeway Coast Community understands that Mr Henderson died from serious head injuries. It is unknown at this stage the cause.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said that it was supporting the family of a British national following his death in Majorca.
In a social media post last night a spokesperson for Paul Henderson Megastore said
“I’d like to start this post by thanking all of you for your words of kindness and support for Paul, Kim, Missy and all the family. This is an incredibly difficult time for them and knowing how much Aaron was loved brings them great comfort.
With the blessing of the family, the staff will reopen the shop tomorrow as Aaron wouldn’t want to let down all the customers he’s come to think of as friends. Please feel free to come to the shop but bear in mind that the staff are trying to come to terms with this unbelievable tragedy. We will close again when Aaron comes home to us to allow the family to grieve and lay him to rest. I would ask you all again to continue respecting the family’s privacy at this heartbreaking time”
