Limavady Man Is Accused Of Breaching Violent Offences Prevention Order

A Limavady man accused of breaching a Violent Offences Prevention Order has had his case further adjourned.

John Jeffrey Douglas (38), of Benevenagh Drive, is alleged to have committed offences in December. He is charged with breaching a Violent Offences Prevention Order at Alexander Road in Limavady between December 18/19 last year.

He is accused of making a threat to kill a female on December 12 and attempting to damage the front door of her property.
The defendant is also charged with harassment on December 12.

Regarding December 16/17, Douglas is accused of the burglary of a house at Grange Park in Limavady and stealing keys and cash.

He is charged with driving whilst disqualified; taking a Suzuki Vitara without authority; using the vehicle without insurance at Dunhill Road near Coleraine and theft of a number plate on December 17.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court on January 14 the defendant was listed on the videolink at Maghaberry Prison. A prosecutor said the full file in the case is due in February and the case was adjourned until next month.
