Local Assault Condemned

BT Coleraine

Alliance Councillor Yvonne Boyle has condemned a paramilitary-style assault in the Glenvara Drive area of Coleraine.

Speaking after PSNI appealed for information, Yvonne urged anyone with information to come forward immediately.

She added: “Communities have really been pulling together as the Coronavirus crisis continues and it is extremely disappointing to hear of incidents like this adding additional stress and anxiety.

“A brutal attack which has no place in our community, my thoughts are with the victim as he recovers from this ordeal.

“We need to focus on staying safe and doing all we can to aid the on-going crisis that is facing us all, without individuals adding pressure through sinister acts like these.”
