Local Businessman Welcomes Market Yard Decision

1 Mins read

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community, Stephen Warwick, Managing Director of The Bull’s Eye said :

“I have observed the hiatus of activity in the Market Yard for a long number of years from close proximity.

Indeed my late father undertook to have the original cattle pens removed from Lime Market Street 25 years ago. I have since then taken a keen interest in the many schemes suggested for its development. It was with much dismay that I watched the suggested ventures fail to come to fruition.

However I am now greatly relieved to see that we are finally to give this historically significant and valuable area some purpose for the future. I am ever hopeful that this new proposed scheme, even if not as ambitious as many of us hoped, will provide a stepping stone for a greater future for The Market Yard. Perhaps it may even return one day to being that iconic cultural hub of the community it was in its earliest and most celebrated days.

Whatever the future may hold for The Market Yard at least we can take comfort that this new scheme will at least secure its survival for future generations.”
