Leading Co. Antrim based family construction company, Dixons Contractors, has built upon its national expertise following the completion of a multi-million pound Academy of Sports and Wellbeing at Perth College UHI in Scotland.
Founded in 1979 as a small family-owned business, the company has gone from strength to strength with the recent Scottish project affirming its reputation in providing first-class facilities and projects across the UK.
The £7 million structure, completed in partnership with Scotland-based design and architecture firm, Keppie Design and sports hall construction specialists Ball Hall, was delivered in time for the 2016/2017 academic year, substantially benefitting students, staff and the local Perth and Kinross community.
The education project contributes to Dixons’ on-going national work, alongside recent local projects including an extension of the La Mon hotel, Belfast, construction of new corporate facilitates at Down Royal, with the firm currently building a new sports academy for Rainey Endowed, Magherafelt.
With more design, construction and refurbishment projects in Northern Ireland and across the UK year-on-year, the company has seen turnover increase significantly and its success continues to positively impact the local area and economy.
