Local Man With A Massive Dream Opens New Youth Football Academy In Coleraine

1 Mins read

JM Academy was founded in 2017 with some borrowed equipment and a massive dream.

Today the club opens its doors as a youth football academy with an aim to improve local football in the area. Jordan Moffett (23) has been involved with youth football since he was 16 coaching for various different clubs such as Portrush Youths, Coleraine Academy and Bertie Peacock Youths.

JM Academy is a development programme that aims to produce skilled, confident and creative football players. We are looking to develop every player who attends the academy into outstanding footballers who also have discipline, drive and a professional attitude to succeed. We also teach our players how to perform purposeful practice and the important that role plays!

Since the first year, the company has expanded to provide a number of different football-specific sessions. Holiday camps, birthday parties, one-to-ones and goalkeeping sessions.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community this afternoon Jordan said “We saw a gap in the market for professional youth coaching in Coleraine and quickly realised there was a opportunity to provide fun organised football sessions in outdoor spaces for children to be active in the great outdoors. With all sessions being covered by IFA Qualified DBS checked coaches and staff.

Whether your kids are just looking for a fun time or want to develop their football interests and skills further, at JM Academy we provide a platform for children to enjoy the game whilst receiving expert football coaching.

Check out our Facebook page or website for any further information on how to get involved.”

The academy caters for age groups between 6-15 years old. You can view the website at www.jmacademy.co.uk or contact Jordan Moffett on 07947124644
