Local Woman Plans to set up a ‘Drop In’ for those who are experiencing mental health problems within the Borough

Coleraine woman Michelle Edgar is planning to set up a ‘Drop In’ for those who are experiencing mental health problems within the Causeway Coast and Glens area.

An information night for those wishing to volunteer on the project will by held on Tuesday, March 12 at 7.30 in the Methodist Church Hall, Queen Street, Coleraine.

Michelle told Causeway Coast News: “I am all too well aware of the need out there for those experiencing mental health problems.

“Mental health is a growing problem in our society – it affects young and old, men and women, we all know someone who has experienced it or is currently experiencing it.

“My aim is to set up a project where people feeling lonely, anxious or in despair can come along and receive help.

Sometimes a friendly face is all that is needed, sometimes we just need someone to talk to that is non-judgemental.
“I am reaching out to the community for help,” she said.
