Locals Among New Year Honours 2017

Ulster Unionist Cllr Darryl Wilson offers congratulations to people from across the Borough who have been recognised in the new years honours list. Causeway Coast and Glens Ulster Unionist Cllr Darryl Wilson today offered his congratulations to people from across the Borough from the sporting, private and the voluntary sector who have been recognised in the New Year Honours list.

Cllr Wilson said : Congratulations to everyone locally that was recognised in this year’s New Year Honours list.

These individuals have made an extraordinary contribution to society and I am delighted that they have been honoured in this way.

The locals in this year’s New Year’s Honours list includes:

MBE Mr John Raymond ARMSTRONG – Managing Director, Armstrong Medical Limited. For services to Economic Development in Northern Ireland.

MBE Mrs Helen COLE Principal, Ballykelly Primary School. For services to Education.

BEM Mr Albert CLYDE Secretary, Riding for the Disabled, Coleraine. For services to the community in Coleraine.

BEM Mrs Jean DOAK For voluntary service to the community in Coleraine

BEM Mrs Margaret MCCULLAGH President, The Royal British Legion, Portrush Branch. For services to the community in Portrush

MBE Mrs Kathleen MCBRIDE, services to sport and the community.
