Locals complain about lack of public toilets at Causeway Coast tourist spots

Locals have complained to councillors about the lack of public toilets at north coast tourist spots.

Councillors heard at a meeting earlier this week that the majority of cubicles were out of action in Portstewart over the bank holiday and the hand sanitiser was broken.

Councillor John McAuley called for a review of the situation by the council’s director of environmental services, Aidan McPeake.

Mr McPeake said he would investigate the issue as he was unaware there was a problem with those particular facilities and would get back to elected members with an update.
