Man accused of attempted murder is to make a bail bid

1 Mins read

A FRESH bid for bail is to be made by a Coleraine man accused of attempted murder after an alleged stabbing incident involving a ‘steak knife’.

A man aged in his 40s required keyhole surgery after being stabbed during an incident at Blackthorn Court around 11.30pm on July 3 this year.

Gary Moore (31), with an address listed as Greenmount Avenue in Coleraine, has been on remand charged with attempted murder; possession of an offensive weapon – a knife; assaulting a woman and damaging a window and kitchen light.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court on September 16 defence solicitor Garrett Greene said it was hoped a bail address could be obtained outside the Coleraine area.

The case was adjourned to September 30 for a bail application to be made on that date.
