A man accused of exposing himself to two females is “vehemently denying” the allegations.
Dalip Anand (64), of Rothesay Court, Abbey Street, Coleraine, is alleged to have committed the offences on July 16. He faces two charges of committing an act of ‘lewd, obscene and disgusting nature by exposing your person’.
A police officer told Coleraine Magistrates Court on Friday she believed she could connect the accused to the charges. The officer said they were not objecting to bail and said an address had been found in Portstewart.
The defendant told the court he was “vehemently denying” the charges.
The defendant was released on £300 bail and was banned from entering Rothesay Court and to have no contact with the alleged injured parties. He is also not to enter Coleraine except to go to court and to go to Coleraine Police Station twice a week.
The case was adjourned until mid-August.
