Man admits assaulting police officer

A man with a Ballykelly address has admitted assaulting and resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty.

Patrick McCallion (28), of Bridgehouse Court, committed the offences in September last year.

He appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on April 29 via video link from Maghaberry Prison.

He was in breach of a suspended sentence.

The case was adjourned to June 3 for a pre-sentence report.
