Man admits being ‘in charge’ of vehicle at Glenariffe whilst having excess alcohol in breath

A MAN has pleaded guilty to being ‘in charge’ of a vehicle at Main Street, Glenariffe, whilst having excess alcohol in breath.

Conleth McCurdy (24), of Knocknacarry Court, Cushendun, committed the offence on May 27 this year.

Relating to the same date he is also charged with causing criminal damage to a police cell van and resisting a police officer.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, where the defence solicitor was Stewart Ballentine.

The matter has been adjourned to September.
