Man admits driving dangerously and failing to stop for police

A man has admitted driving dangerously on roads between and including Dunhill Road and Cromore Road in the Coleraine area.

Billy James Stirling (19), whose address was given as Swilly Close in Coleraine, is also accused of the aggravated taking of a Ford Sierra; failing to stop for police at Coleraine’s Ring Road as well as insurance and licence offences.

The charges relate to February 20 this year.

The defendant appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on July 8 via video link from Hydebank Prison.
His case was adjourned to July 22 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
