A man is alleged to have been disorderly at Quay Road in Ballycastle during the Ould Lammas Fair and then at Coleraine’s Causeway Hospital.

Stephen Loughran (24), of Foxes Glen in the Dunmurry area near Belfast, is accused of committing offences on Tuesday August 28 this year. He faces three charges of assaulting police officers; two of disorderly behaviour; assault on a female and obstruction of a police officer.

He appeared before Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday September 24 via video link from Maghaberry Prison. A prosecutor told the court the case involved an incident at the Lammas Fair.

No further details were given to the court. The defendant was remanded in continuing custody and the case adjourned to October 22.
