Man charged with offences including assault is released on bail

A MAN charged with a number of offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm has been released on bail.

Mark Ellis (32), with addresses listed on charge sheets as Roemill Road in Limavady and Glenvara Drive in Coleraine, is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to December 11 last year.

He is also accused of being disorderly at Ballyclose Street in Limavady on December 2 last year and assaulting three police officers and resisting another police officer.

In relation to September 16 last year he is charged with being disorderly at Thackeray Place, Limavady, and assaulting and resisting a police officer.

The defendant appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday via video link from prison.

He was granted bail to an address at Woodland Walk in Limavady.

He has a night time curfew when he will be electronically monitored and he is not to enter licensed premises or consume alcohol.

He has to make contact with Addiction Services and must report to police.
