Man ‘didn’t have sufficient funds’ to travel to Coleraine Court

A warrant was issued for the arrest of a man who failed to attend Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday June 10 because, according to his legal representative, he “didn’t have sufficient funds” to make the journey.

Sam Robinson (22), of Forthriver Road, Belfast, is accused of dishonestly receiving a stolen DVD player relating to last autumn.

He faces a second charge of fraud by false representation which alleges that on October 5 last year he claimed he was entitled to receive a refund for a DVD player.

Issuing the arrest warrant, District Judge Peter King said it could perhaps be “executed by arrangement”.
