Man dies following RTC in Portadown

Police can confirm that 40 year old Waldemar Gorny, from the Gilford area, has died following a road traffic collision at the Gilford Road area of Portadown yesterday evening (Wednesday 11th November).

Inspector Johnstone said: “Shortly after 9:35pm, it was reported that a red Hyundai Tuscon and a cyclist were involved in the incident. Mr Gorny, who was treated at the scene sadly died as a result of his injuries.

The Gilford Road was closed as officers attended, with the road now reopened following the incident.

“Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage available, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1927 11/11/20.”
