Man grabbed male police officer by testicles during Christmas Holidays

1 Mins read

A Coleraine man who was being lodged in a cell grabbed a male police officer by the privates during the Christmas holidays, a court heard on Monday.

Ryan Samuel Glass (44), formerly of Quickthorn Place but now of Kingsbury Gardens, assaulted the officer on December 27 last year.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault on police.

The full facts of the case have yet to be outlined to the court.

District Judge Liam McNally said it was a “nasty” assault and one which could lead to a prison sentence.

The case was adjourned to April for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
