Man has arson charge withdrawn

A man accused of arson with intent to endangering life has had the charge withdrawn and the matter is to proceed by way of a report from police to the Public Prosecution Service.

Kevin Barry Clarence (25), of Glenview Drive, Limavady, was initially accused in relation to February 26 this year.

He was charged with damaging, by fire, property at Kennaught Terrace, Limavady, intending to damage the property or being reckless as to whether it would be damaged and intending thereby to endanger the life of a female.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court on June 17.
