Man is accused of assault in Portrush

A MAN is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and other charges including being disorderly in the vicinity of Eglinton Street in Portrush.

David Dinsmore (39), of Old Coach Road in Portstewart, is charged in relation to November 3 last year.

He faces a total of seven charges with the other allegations being two assaults on police; resisting police; possessing cannabis and causing criminal damage to a wing mirror.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday where the defence solicitor was Denise Gillan the defendant was given £500 bail with a condition that he has no contact with the man he allegedly assaulted.

The case was adjourned to April.
