Man is accused of assaulting ambulance workers

A MAN has appeared in court charged with assaulting ambulance workers and police and also being disorderly at the Causeway Hospital.

Asher Caldwell (24), of Seymour Drive, Ballymoney, is accused in connection with November 18 this year.

Relating to November 22 this year the defendant is accused of being disorderly at the Causeway Hospital and assaulting five people.

On October 5 this year he is accused of assaulting four police officers; two custody detention officers and another person.

Regarding June 28 this year he is accused of assaulting six police officers at Sainsbury’s in Coleraine and also the Causeway Hospital.

The cases were mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court on December 16 and adjourned.
