Man is accused of being concerned in offering to supply cannabis

A MAN is accused of, according to a charge sheet, being concerned in offering to supply cannabis.

Gareth McDonald (33), with an address listed as Glenmanus Park in Portrush, is also charged with possessing cannabis and a driving licence allegation in connection with a vehicle, named on the charge sheet as, a Subaru Impreza.

The charges relate to June 20 this year.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena on October 26, the case was marked as a ‘first appearance’ and a police officer said he believed he could connect the defendant to the charges.
A prosecutor said it was a “substantial matter” and likely to proceed on indictment to the Crown Court.

The defence solicior was John Murphy and the case was adjourned to December.
