Man is accused of being disorderly in Portstewart

A MAN has been charged with offences including being disorderly in the Promenade area of Portstewart.

Matthew Mabin (25), of Station Road, Portstewart, was at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday.
He is charged in connection with February 2 this year.

The defendant is also charged with attempting to cause criminal damage to a police car window as well as assaulting and resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty.

A police officer said she believed she could connect the defendant to the charges.

The defendant’s legal representative was barrister Alan Stewart.

The case has been adjourned to March 9.
