Man is accused of threatening to burn a woman’s house in Portstewart

A MAN is accused of threatening to burn a woman’s house in Portstewart.

Steven Millen (37), with an address listed as Lever Park in the town, is charged in relation to July 11 this year.

On the same date he is also accused of disorderly behaviour and on July 12 he is charged with damaging an electronic monitoring tag.

The defendant is also charged with alleged matters relating to August 6/7 this year.

He is accused of assaulting another woman and attempting to pervert the course of justice with regards to her.

The defendant is also charged with damaging an electronic bail tag.

In regard to the attempt to pervert the course of justice, the charge sheet says Millen allegedly said: ‘Do not contact police or you’ll regret it’.
