Man is charged with being disorderly at hospital

A Portstewart man has been charged with being disorderly at the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

James McNiff (22), of Central Avenue, is also accused of assaulting and resisting a police officer on the same date – July 26 this year.

The defendant appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on August 19 where the defence solicitor was Stewart Ballentine.

The defendant was released on £500 with a condition regarding alcohol.

The case was adjourned to September 2.
