Man is charged with burglary at Bob & Berts cafe in Portrush

MAN faces charges including burglary of Bob & Berts cafe at Main Street in Portrush when a handbag was allegedly stolen.

Arthur Hanson (32), with an address listed as Mark Street in Portrush, is alleged to have committed offences on February 3 this year.

He is also charged with entering Bob & Berts with intent to steal; attempting to steal an Audi A4 and interfering with a vehicle at Atlantic Avenue in Portrush.

The defendant also faces charges relating to February 25 this year – interfering with a vehicle at Coleraine Road, Portrush, and the theft of a purse containing bank cards.

The cases were mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, and adjourned to August 28.
