A MAN who threatened to damage a door belonging to his mother in Coleraine has been fined £150.

Matthew McLaughlin (19), now with an address at Malone Road in Belfast, came to police attention at Hartford Park in Coleraine in the early hours of Saturday December 7 last year.

Coleraine Magistrates Court, on January 13, heard the defendant had been kicking the door.

Defence solicitor Briege Martin said the defendant had been heavily intoxicated.

The court heard the behaviour described as “entirely unacceptable”.
