Man killed in Armoy crash named locally

Emergency services at the scene of a RTC on the Coolkeeran Road Armoy on Sunday evening. One person named locally as Dylan O Kane has died, it is understood that a second person named locally as Hans McMullan has also died. A man who died in a crash involving a 3 vehicle RTC on the Coolkeeran Road, Armoy yesterday evening has been named locally as Dylan O’Kane.

A police spokesperson said “A man in his twenties has died in a collision on the Coolkeeran Road in Armoy. The collision, involving three vehicles, occurred at around 10pm last night, Sunday 7 May.

A number of other people were injured in the collision. Three males, all believed to be in their twenties, are currently being treated in hospital.

Inspector Colin Reeves said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with information that could assist our investigation. Please call 101, quoting reference 1399 07/05/17.”

Councillor Darryl Wilson said ‘ I am deeply saddened to learn that a road traffic collision over the weekend has resulted in loss of life within our Borough . Please keep the family and friends of those impacted in your thoughts and prayers at this sad time.’
