Speaking to Causeway Coast Community, Maurice Bradley MLA said ‘Sad news that another life has been lost on the roads in the Coleraine area.

The circumstances of the fatality have not been released by the PSNI yet, but it is another sad house and family which have lost a loved one.

There are no words of comfort adequate at this sad time but I would extend my sincere sympathy to the victim’s immediate and extended family circle.’

Further commenting on the tragedy SDLP Councillor Stephanie Quigley said ‘This is just devastating news that in this area within a week a second young father has lost his life as a result of a road traffic accident.

We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the entire family circle, they are very much in our prayers now and will be in the weeks to come.’
